U of T alumnus’ non-profit venture is helping to bring clean drinking water to communities in Sudan

African country impacted by climate change

Toronto – A University of Toronto (Scarborough) alumnus from Sudan initiated a non-profit, federally incorporated organization two years ago that brings clean drinking water to communities in the African country. The Wishing Well Company has since built wells in 12 communities in the western region of Darfur. The country’s water crisis has largely been the result of climate change. The lack of unclean water in the country has led to children being pulled from schools to trek long distances to collect water for their families. University of Toronto report | READ MORE
